$795K IN FEDERAL FUNDS RECEIVED FOR VANCOUVER ISLAND MOUNTAIN SPORT CENTRE

Vancouver Island North MP John Duncan announced the Federal Government's investment in the Vancouver Island Mountain Sport Society's project via the Community Adjustment Fund, one of the federal government’s economic action plan initiatives intended to mitigate the impacts of the recession. It’s the first major announcement from that money in the local area and the support is huge for athletes like VIMSS-funded mountain biker Simon Garstin and snowboarder Carle Brenneman. Read more....
